What does an R&D feasibility study entail?

Companies and organisations may carry out a feasibility study as a way to prepare themselves for an innovative follow-up trajectory.

Amount of the feasibility study subsidy

The basic support amounts to 40% of the project budget. An additional 10% support can be granted if the applicant is an SME.

What does a Baekeland mandate entail?

A subsidy for strategic basic research projects with an economic finality by PhD students in cooperation with a Flemish enterprise.

Definition of enterprise size

Enterprise size is determined based on the European SME definition. SME’s receive a higher rate of subsidy than large enterprises.

Which enterprises and ecological investments are eligible for the Strategic Ecology Support?

Companies can only be eligible for this subsidy if they meet certain criteria.

When will the subsidy be granted?

The payment of the Strategic Ecology Support occurs in three instalments (30% -30% - 40%).

How much is the BAR grant?

Maximum of 80% to 100% of the total eligible costs, depending on the type of organization.
