Uitdaging
The collection and maintenance of all kinds of data and processes (e.g. intake, attendance registration, medication administration, etc.) in the welfare sector is still often done on paper and through input into various digital systems. This way of working leads to inefficiencies, duplication of work, and a higher risk of errors. At the same time, the sector is facing staff shortages, increasing care demands, and ever-stricter regulations.
Through this project, Stijn vzw, a care provider for people with disabilities, aims to develop a flexible and modular digital care and client portal for the welfare sector, built from reusable building blocks for each core process, enabling organisations to assemble their own digital environment tailored to their specific way of working. By creating an open, decoupled architecture based on integration standards, the portal connects seamlessly with middleware and existing systems within organisations. This creates a future-proof ecosystem in which new applications can easily be integrated.
The purpose of the project and the platform is to strengthen collaboration between care professionals, clients, and their network. Through smooth information sharing and more active involvement of clients and their network, the portal aims to support personalised care, a more inclusive way of working, and better quality of care
