Preparation

Within the framework of this project, a preparatory trajectory was launched by the end of 2025 under the guidance of Verhaert New Products and Services in order to better scope the challenge, to execute a indepth needs analysis and market analysis and to organise a market consultation. 

To ensure that the intended application aligns as closely as possible with local realities, a survey was launched between 11 and 27 May 2026 for local mobility and environmental officers.

On 23 April 2026, we organized an online information session about this survey for policy officers from, among others, local authorities, transport regions, and intermunicipal organizations working in the fields of mobility, environment, or spatial planning. During this session, participants received information about the PIP project, the intended application, as well as the purpose and methodology of the survey. On 25 September 2026, an open in-person market consultation will be organised in Brussels (Marie-Elisabeth Belpaire Building), followed by optional online one-to-one meetings on 7 and 8 October 2026.
