Preparation

In October 2022, a preliminary phase was started as part of the project with the aim of sharpening the challenge and conducting an in-depth needs analysis among internal stakeholders. In cooperation with Verhaert various scoping sessions were organized.

An open face-to-face market consultation was organised on Tuesday 28 March 2023 in the offices of the Flemish Environment Agency and consisted of three parts: 

• an explanation of the outlined challenge; 
• a group discussion with interactive questions on the different solution directions; and 
• optional private 1-on-1 interviews.

The outcome of the market consultation will enable VMM to launch a public tender for carrying out a feasibility study in September/October 2023.
