Orion, the regional Dementia Expertise Center in Antwerp, wants to have a mobile application developed that supports persons with early-onset dementia, their family caregivers and caregivers to optimize quality of life and care.

According to the personalized profile of the person concerned, the application should help make information and assistance more easily accessible at every stage of the dementia process and provide support in mapping out a personal care path.

The Regional Dementia Center of Expertise considers the collaboration with persons with young dementia, family caregivers and professional caregivers crucial throughout the development of this digital tool. Thanks to co-creation, different perspectives are taken into account in terms of user needs.
