Results

The pre-commercial public procurement (PCP) was concluded in January 2021. The results and conclusions of the PCP process are available (see documents) and were presented to the sector on 26 January. Bionerga, which is responsible for purchasing vehicles for Limburg.net's collection service, published the tender document for the purchase of the Optimo refuse collection vehicle body on its website at the beginning of February: www.bionerga.be. Bionerga received the tenders on 26 February 2021. This contract was awarded to Mol cy and Terberg-Matec. Other waste collectors have now also purchased refuse collection vehicles with the technology developed in the PIO project.

The Optimo waste collection system has already resulted in a 5.47% reduction in the amount of household waste. See the news item of 6 February 2023 for more information.
