Preparation

In order to focus on the challenge of converting green waste into biochar in a sustainable and profitable way, a preparatory process was started in February 2022, supervised by the consultancy firm Verhaert. In a first phase, various work sessions were organized to estimate the desired functionalities and the innovation potential of the production and sale of biochar from a user's point of view.

The online public market consultation will take place on May 18, 2022, bringing together supply and demand sides. During this consultation, the elaborated innovative concepts and the set-up of the intended pilot will be evaluated and validated with experts. The outcome of the market consultation should allow ILvA to have the pilot infrastructure developed and tested via a government contract.
