DNA you can actually read
Cell and other biological data generation is growing explosively these days. First there was DNA, later RNA, (spatial) single-cell data, as well as proteomic data, and so on. Each piece tells part of the story – but by integrating and combining all this data, insights emerge that are crucial for cancer research and drug development. Data Intuitive helps life science teams process, collate and understand that complex omics data. With their open-source technology and a new central platform, they make computational workflows faster, more reliable and scalable. The platform was developed with the support of VLAIO development project.
Omics data is a collective term for all biological information from humans, animals and plants. Although this data is closely interrelated, it differs greatly in form and scale. Today, the key to new insights lies in combining these different omics layers – such as DNA, RNA and (spatial) single-cell data – into a single coherent whole. Through this integration, researchers can uncover patterns that would otherwise remain hidden. These insights are essential for applications such as personalised cancer research and the development of new medicines, where a thorough understanding of cells and genes makes the difference between trying and truly knowing.
