Tender
AZ Sint-Jan is seeking partners for the PIO project “Towards future-proof medicine distribution” through an innovation partnership, with the aim of optimising logistics processes in the hospital. The challenge? To design an affordable, simple and scalable solution that maximises the automation of medication management in the wards.
Towards maximum automation and precision
The intended technology must ensure that medication is available at all times via a dynamic stock, and that the preparation of medication for patients is supported by picking equipment. In this way, AZ Sint-Jan wants to guarantee that the right medication is administered at the right time, to the right patient and in the right quantity — with minimal manual intervention.
Focus on care, supported by technology
Thanks to this automation, pharmacy and healthcare staff can focus more on the more complex care tasks. The project is part of the preparations for the construction of a new logistics centre with a pharmacy, planned for 2027.
The candidates have been selected and are now working on their tenders.
